About DarkWater Studios

DarkWater Studios is an independent game studio in St. Louis, Missouri, founded in 2025 as the game development arm of Leviathan Enterprises LLC. The studio was created to build original worlds and player-driven experiences, and it develops its intellectual property in-house. It was founded by Mr. Leviathan, who serves as founder and creative director. No other team members are announced at this time.

About The Vanguard Accords: Genesis

The Vanguard Accords: Genesis is a premium single-player science-fiction action RPG built in Unreal Engine 5. The player takes the role of an elite Vanguard. The game is built on five pillars: infantry combat, spacecraft operations, mech warfare, fleet command, and consequential faction decisions across a galaxy that is hand-built rather than procedurally generated.

The game is set in the year 3278. Its wider setting spans the Terran Concord, Centauri, the Sirius Free Port, Eridani, the Seven Sisters and Ceti. A central location is a city called the Warrens, a vertical city of never-finished concrete towers, settled by the people who moved into them, with a network of tunnels and shafts running beneath the streets.

The project is in development. Nothing described here is final, and nothing on this page is a commitment that the game will ship with a particular feature.

Key features

History

Leviathan Enterprises LLC established DarkWater Studios in 2025 in St. Louis, Missouri, as its game development arm. The studio's first announced project is The Vanguard Accords: Genesis, an original science-fiction property developed in Unreal Engine 5. Work to date has covered the setting, the game's systems and the visual development of its locations, including the Warrens.

The studio has not announced funding, has not announced a publisher and has not released a game. There are no awards, no press coverage and no press quotes to list yet. This page will be updated as that changes.

Assets

Press and content creators may use the artwork published on this site to report on or discuss DarkWater Studios and The Vanguard Accords: Genesis, on these conditions:

There is no downloadable asset bundle on the site yet. For high-resolution files, the studio logo, or a specific image at a specific size, email info@thedarkwaterstudios.com and tell us what you are working on. We will send what we have.

There is no trailer and no video footage available at this time.

What this is not

Every image currently published by DarkWater Studios is visual development art: concept and pre-production work made to establish the look and feel of the game. None of it is captured gameplay, and none of it should be captioned as a screenshot. If we publish gameplay capture in future, we will label it as such and say so on this page.

The descriptions above set out intended design. They are not a description of a finished, playable build.

Permissions for content creators

You may create videos, streams, articles, reviews and other coverage featuring DarkWater Studios material, including any playable build or footage we make publicly available in future.

Monetization permission: DarkWater Studios grants permission to monetize videos and streams that feature our games and material, on any platform, through advertising, platform revenue sharing, subscriptions, sponsorship or viewer contributions. We do not require a revenue share and we do not require prior approval.

Two limits apply. Do not present our material as your own original work, and do not use it to imply that DarkWater Studios sponsors or endorses you, your channel or a product unless we have agreed to that in writing. We also ask that coverage makes clear the game is in development and that current imagery is visual development art.

Reuse of site content beyond reporting and commentary is covered by our Terms of Use.
